A Warm Pixies Welcome Back

We are Delighted to have Karen back with us. Karen began her dancing at the famous “Billy Barry dancing school” at the age of three at the same time she also took up Irish Dancing. If there was a dance class on Karen was sure to be there.


She joined Helen Jordan’s Stage School and appeared in the Olympia on many occasions. When she was 13 she went to Diggs Lane for Hip-Hop classes and was taught by Edele Lynch who was a member of the girl group ‘Bewitched’. When she was fourteen,


Karen choreographed her first full show for the Saggart - Rathcoole ‘No Name Club’ and the following year taught dances for the Variety show which went on to win the No-Name Variety competition .


She did her Leaving Certificate at sixteen and went on to college and got her Performing Arts Diploma in 2000. In 2002 Karen choreographed and took park in the winning float in the St. Patrick’s parade. Also Karen was part of a semi-professional dance group in Dun Laoghaire called DYDC she was involved for four and a half years and got to travel and perform all over the country and the U.K. In 2004




Karen choreographed and took part in a short piece for a film called ‘Ouch’ for the graduate of ADPI. She has run her own dance classes for more than 15 years, "Pixie's". She has a great love for dance and all its involvement and enjoys teaching all she knows to the children in her classes.
